This kitchen is small and didn’t have much usable counter space. The first solution was a shelving unit that we up-cycled to hold appliances and their accessories. The design for this space had an additional counter, including drawer storage for appliances, baking ingredients, hidden garbage can, and silverware drawer. In addition to the extra counter and storage, two floating shelves were added. One for the microwave, and the other for the enameled cast iron pieces. Use your vertical space!
